Rainy Summer Days

This may be the rainiest Summer that there ever was. I am (more than) a little tired of it, but we have been making do by trying to enjoy our time inside.

This rainy day was:
~Making kale pesto.
~Open-ended creative projects. (Recycled cardboard, paint, glue, buttons…)
~Reading books together.
~Watching episodes of The Magic School Bus.
~Listening to happy music.
~Getting chores done.
~Playing with the doll house and the wooden trains.

The report I checked says “chance of thunderstorm” every. single. day. for the next week. However, I am hopeful that we will still be able to take Simon to see some fireworks on Wednesday for the 4th of July Celebration. Keeping my fingers crossed!
