9 Dollars Well Spent

Welcome! Don’t mind the mess. Just your average, everyday family shenanigans going on here.

Simon grabbed this bright pink sled off the shelf at the store the other day, and asked me: “What dis?” Since he already had it on the ground I told him to sit in it, and pulled him around the wide store aisle for a minute, while he giggled and beamed. Afterward, I glanced at the price. Only 9 dollars. I thought to myself: “We live in Maine, and we somehow don’t own a sled yet.” It ended up in the cart.

We have yet to receive snow that sticks around, though I know it won’t be long before it comes, and that it will stay longer than I like. When it does though, we’ll be ready for it.

In the meantime, it will continue to be a slide for cars, a bed for stuffed animals, and a vehicle of transport for us to pull Simon all over the house.

(In case you’re wondering, Simon is not strong enough to pull a full-grown adult around. However, a very loving and silly Daddy has ways to make Simon think he is doing just that.)

  1. wonderful! I saw a nice thing on pin interest the other day and thought of you. A felt christmss tree you stick to the wall and let your child decorate and re deorate with felt decorations. 🙂

  2. Very cute and it won’t be long before you will be enjoying that sled in the snow! We have a similar one and one winter recently we have snow that was perfect and the kids were still small enough that I pulled them around the block with very little effort. One of my best memories : )
