The other day we had the perfect Maine Autumn day. The sun was shining, it wasn’t too cold, and Simon and I had plenty of time to do whatever we wanted. So we hopped into the car and drove to one of our favorite family places, Ricker Hill Orchards, for a visit to the farm stand there.
Our main reason was for pumpkins, it being almost the end of October and we still hadn’t brought any home yet. (I thought it was high time we roast some seeds.) However, we also enjoyed the colorful view and fresh air, Simon played with the toy tractors, and we indulged in some of the fresh-baked doughnuts and handmade apple cider. Yep, it was a perfect October afternoon.
