One year ago today I started this blogging adventure and wrote my first post. It wasn’t grandiose, or particularly informational, but it did accomplish one of the main things this blog is all about: finding joy in everyday life. Since that day I have written about a lot of things, always around the theme of family, and always trying to seek out the things worth celebrating and remembering. I have shared my ideas, experiences in motherhood, recipes, projects, and a lot of photography.
I cannot believe how much this blog has grown since that first day. Not only in number of followers and page views, but also the connections that I have made. I have made some amazing blogging friends, who’s lives I feel connected to through reading and responding to each others words everyday. I have gotten so many wonderful comments from readers, both those who visit regularly, and those who have just stumbled by on their journey around the blogosphere. I have felt so inspired by the little community that is taking shape around this blog, and I feel incredibly grateful.
I have so many ideas for where I want to take this blog. There are visual and layout tweaks I want to make, more giveaways I want to host, ideas to share with you, experiences I want to capture, and connections I want to make. At the core though, this place will always be about capturing memories and moments of my family life. Writing here (almost) every day keeps me focused on the things there are to love about life, and gives me a recording of that.
I have a very good feeling about where this is all headed, and I hope you will continue to join me for (what I hope will be) many years to come.
Thank you all so much,
