(This picture would be perfect if that lady in the background just would not have chosen that moment to bend over.)
We returned to the Children’s Museum of Maine on Saturday, and had a wonderful time as a family. They have a great place set up there, that really stimulates the imagination, and Jeramy and I turn into big kids too when we visit.
Last time we went, the “stream” in the forest area was Simon’s favorite spot. This time it was the kinetics room, which is full of balls, and rails you can put them on and watch them travel along. There are even vacuum tubes that suck the balls up into a tube that takes them all around the room. We spent a good portion of our time in there.
As Simon gets older, it will be fun to see how his interests change, and which exhibits excite him. I also see so much potential for trips to the museum to enrich his education when we begin homeschooling.
