Buggle Food

Here is yet another round of recent toddler meals of Simon’s that I happened to remember to take pictures of.

Breakfast: Whole grain organic waffle with all-natural peanut butter, banana slices, and raisins.

Breakfast: Baby yogurt with fruit/veggie puree (It already comes with some puree in it but I often add more.), whole grain crackers, and pineapple chunks.

Breakfast: Sliced pear, rice cereal, and a vegetarian sausage. (Simon hates real meat, but loves the veggie stuff.)

Supper: Leek and potato soup with a few goldfish “swimming” in it, and a turkey, apple, cheddar sandwich. (He picked off the turkey and wouldn’t eat it. See? Hates meat.)

Remember my post from a while back about getting Simon to eat soup by using bread cubes? Well, now that he is bigger and more able to handle a spoon, he can gobble it up with minimal help from Mumma and Daddy. Soup is one of his favorite things to eat, and on this day, he asked for seconds and then even thirds of the leek and potato soup!

  1. Love this! He’s getting such a good variety of foods! Healthy boy!

    • I cartainly try to offer a variety, but there are definitely days when I stumble out of bed and hand him a cereal bar too. I just try to balance it all out to meet his nutritional needs over the course of the day and my general guideline is: “All meals should have a fruit or veggie.” If he has toast or a cereal bar for breakfast he must have frut for snack.

  2. What cute presentations of food!

  3. Great toddler food!
