Handmade Hand Kite

I recently purchased a new scarf for myself. It came on a plastic ring, which I saved, because I saw this idea on pinterest to make a hand-kite for kids.

Basically, you just tie a bunch of ribbons onto a ring of any type (I think wood would be best, but my ring is plastic.), and kids can hold the hand kite by the ring and have a blast waving it around, making the ribbons trail through the air. We use some in our family music class sometimes to swish around to the music.

Simon spent a good deal of time running around with his today. He really had fun with it, and liked waving it to music we played here at home while he danced.
