Simon’s Kitchen Chalkboard

Something simple, like finally having a hook for Simon’s chalkboard/whiteboard to hang on, can make me so happy. We bought one of those stick-on hooks, since we rent here and didn’t want to drill a hole in the faux paneling, just in case that would make our landlord cranky.

Now my little guy can stand and write on his board, now hanging in a corner of the kitchen where he will be in our sight when we cook. (To remind him not to eat the chalk, or use the dry erase marker on the wall.) He now has this little place he can go for bursts of creativity.

  1. Very sweet. Every child needs a space of their own to be as creative as they want.

  2. Awesome! My kiddo learned to pull the stool up next to my chalk board just this weekend so he can write on it. And yes. He loves to eat the chalk.

  3. When they are that little, if you can get to anything beyond the basics it is a huge achievement : )
