Decisions

Mother Nature knows when it is time to create a change. The seasons, the weather, even the shifting plates and eroding land. She is quite the expert.

Sometimes we need to know when it is time for us to create a change. Resisting can have disastrous results for our emotional health. To open our minds and hearts to the possibility that embracing a change, flowing with it, is required for us  to grow and get on with our lives…well, that is hard. We humans seem almost programmed to dig in, buckle down, and hold on tight against the forces of change around us. However, to let ourselves go along for the ride can free us.

Just as the changing seasons allow a tree to grow, so must we allow the shifting phases of our lives to help us grow.

I am wrestling with my human resistance these days, forestalling the force that is attempting to summon me forward. I need to take a cue from Mother Nature, who is showing me that each phase leads into to the next, and that is exactly as it should be.

  1. Love this. Change is a big issue for me. I understand intellectually that it is inevitable, but have a hard time accepting at a deeper level. The nature comparison was excellent.

  2. Best wishes moving forward ❤ great photos and thoughts!
